48% posts vacant in Maharashtra Prathamik Shikshan Parishad

Already gripped by less number of students and increased number of teachers, the MPSP is facing 48% staff crunch & that too at crucial posts, revealed an RTI filed by RTI Activist Anil Galgali. Out of the 52% employed the division is comprised of 22 government servants, 35 on contract and 12 from outside. Key Posts of State Projects Director, Joint Director (Administration) & Joint Director (quality) lie vacant.

RTI Activist Anil Galgali had sought information on the various posts sanctioned, posts filled & vacant via RTI with MPSP. Joint Program Officer Pramod Gavkar in his reply informed Galgali that For 37 posts, 133 were strength sanctioned, 69 were filled and 64 were vacant. All 3 important ket posts are vacant. 35 are working on contracts and 12 posts are occupied by out sourcing agencies. Key Posts of State Projects Director, Joint Director (Administration) & Joint Director (quality ) lie vacant.

Project Director & Secretary are one !!

Anil Galgali also asked for information in regard to appointment of Project Director post since 2012. Apart from AD Kale & AD Shinde, never ever the posts were occupied by full time working Directors. School Education Secretary Nandkumar is now also incharge of post of State Project Director.

Anil Galgali in his written application to the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis & Education Minister Vinod Tawde has demanded the posts to be filled with immediate effect from the government itself, rather than depending on outside agencies or contract, so Primary Education will not affected. Interesting that no one from Education Department has working with MPSP.
