11 bureaucrats owe Maharashtra government over Rs 92 lakh for overstaying

They might be involved in making crucial governmental decisions, but a Right To Information (RTI) query revealed that Several IAS and Government officers have failed to pay the rent for the occupied government quarters they are residing in. Tired of continuous follow ups and reminders, the Public Works Department has approached the competent authority court for getting the Approximately 92 Lakhs dues which are pending from the bureaucrats who have resided in the Government accommodation illegally, informs RTI Activist Anil Galgali. The names of officials who have defaulted the rental dues include IAS Officer Kamlakar Fund, Senior Police Officer Ashok Kumar Sharma, General Manager of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Rajendra Ahirwar, Police Vigilance Committee Member Prem kumar Jain Sudhir Joshi. They believe they would also get the benefit of the precedent set, Which is now being referred to as 'Ashwini Joshi Pattern' in bureaucratic circles.

Replying to the RTI query filed by RTI Activist, Anil Galgali, PWD department stated that there are 11 bureaucrats who have not yet vacated from the respective accommodation allotted to them earlier despite having been transferred and Retired long time back.To make the matters worse, these punishable Rental dues are of the officer’s who have either retired or transferred elsewhere. 6 Officer yet to vacate Government accommodation after there transfer mainly they as follows. IAS Officer Kamalakar Fund ( 24,15,496/-) , General Manager of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Rajendra Ahirwar ( 5,96,260/-) ,  Deputy Collector Dhanaji Toraskar ( 6,04,400/- ) , Sudhir Joshi ( 8,21,852/-) , Senior Police Officer Ashok Kumar Sharma (4,97,335/-) & Ashok Solankar ( 2,14,847/-) not pay there dues. 3 Retired Judge namely Prakash Kumar Rahile ( 6,93,085/-) Prakash Rathod ( 7,96,375/-) & T M Jahagirdar ( 4,86,036/-) yet to pay dues. Retired IAS Officer Sudhir Khan apure ( 2,65,545/-) & Prem kumar Jain (17,57,272/-) also not ready to pay there dues. Interesting that defaulter PK Jain now member of Maharashtra State Police Complaint Authority blessing of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. After court order Jain vacate the government accommodation but not ready to pay huge due.

This singular case of Joshi is now affecting collection of other Government arrears, As officers are not readily coming forward to pay their dues. They believe they would also get the benefit of the precedent set, Which is now being referred to as 'Ashwini Joshi Pattern' in bureaucratic circles. These officers were lawbreakers and demanded that strict action. Who are in service dues should cut from the salary and who are Retired there pension should stop by Govt, demand Galgali.
